In 7 Stories, a fast-paced, sophisticated and hilarious award-winning play by Canadian author Morris Panych, an Everyman undergoing an existential crisis climbs out on a seventh-floor scaffold and contemplates jumping, but before he can make up his mind, windows begin opening into seven different apartments, revealing the lives and characters within, and Man is drawn into their dramas and absurdities.
Director of Domino Theatre’s first play of it’s 73rd season, Michelle McNichol, has chosen to set this production locally, in Kingston of 1968. The set, designed by Wayne Orr, features the exterior windows and ledges of the 6th and 7th stories of a quintessentially Kingstonian limestone building.
7 Stories will be presented Thursdays to Saturdays, September 11th, 12th, 13th
, 18th, 19th, 20th, 25th, and 26th at 7:30 PM; and a matinee performance on Saturday, September 27th at 2:00 PM in the Davies Foundation Auditorium at Domino Theatre, located at 52 Church Street, (Harold Harvey Centre) in Kingston, Ontario.
