Join us on Sunday, June 21, 2026, for a day of community, awareness, and support at Kingston Brain Tumour Awareness Day. This special event brings together families, survivors, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and community partners to raise awareness of brain tumours and support those affected by this disease.

The day begins with the Brain Tumour Walk at Newlands Pavilion, Breakwater Park, with registration opening at 10:00 AM and the walk starting at 11:15 AM. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather as they take part in a meaningful waterfront walk dedicated to honouring brain tumour patients, survivors, and loved ones. A Silent Auction will take place during the walk event, offering attendees an opportunity to support the cause while bidding on a variety of donated items and experiences.

The walk will be hosted by Bill Welychka, acclaimed broadcaster, author, and community advocate, who will serve as the event’s Master of Ceremonies, helping to celebrate stories of resilience, hope, and community support throughout the day.

Later in the afternoon, the community is invited to Richardson Stadium for the “Grens Tackle Tumours – Dale Sands Memorial” U18 football game. The event will feature a ceremonial coin toss, a special Super Kid touchdown celebration recognizing Jackson Giddy, and an exciting afternoon of football dedicated to raising awareness of brain tumours and supporting affected families.

The Integrated Brain Tumour Program (IBTP) will showcases the strength of community collaboration at both events by displaying the local restaurants and hotels participating in the IBTP Community Partners Program. Our IBTP Community Partners will be on display for their support of glioblastoma patients and families receiving treatment in Kingston.

Together, we can raise awareness, inspire hope, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by brain tumours.
