On Wednesday, July 29th from 1:00–4:00 p.m., Briargate Retirement Living will be hosting a Dementia Care-Centered Senior Expo. This free community event is designed to support individuals living with dementia, their families, caregivers, and anyone looking to learn more about available resources.
Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from and connect with organizations including:
The Alzheimer Society
Kingston Dementia Home Care Services
Purely Mobile Hygiene
Hulpur
As well as several other local businesses and service providers dedicated to supporting those affected by dementia.
Families will also have the opportunity to tour our secure Memory Care neighbourhood, meet our Director of Wellness, and learn more about the specialized care and support available for those living with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.
With dementia affecting so many families in our community, our goal is to bring trusted resources together in one place to make it easier for caregivers to ask questions, build connections, and discover the support available to them.
