The play, directed by Steve Furster examines the challenges of a modern-day-father accepting the man who wants to marry his "little girl".

Fathers are often not very happy about the men that aspire to marry their daughters. As will be seen in this comedy from local playwright Harry Jordan, this situation has been true for at least 10,000 years.

The play, The Evolution of Morals, Principles, and Values, directed by Steve Furster, examines these challenges through the evolution of Tom Madison, a "modern-day" man, and his beleaguered family. Tom has formed very specific but rather outdated views on the subject of who may be an appropriate mate for his little girl. This threatens to derail both his daughter’s happiness and his own.

Can Tom, with the support of his devoted wife and the unique perspective of her acerbic but wise mother and with the assistance of an absurd and spicy dream, push past his intolerance and into the light of a liberating awareness?

This play will be presented at the Domino Theatre at 52 Church Street for two performances; Thursday and Friday, March 26 and 27, 2026. Curtain at 7:30 PM.
