Perreault Fest

Join us at Lake Ontario Park for the 2nd Annual Perreault Fest -- a celebration of Dave Perreault through music, laughter and mingling. Including performances from: Lukas Oak, Dads With Jobs and Bruce Compeau & His Pals.

In September of 2024, we tragically lost our very dear friend and family member Dave Perreault. Dave was a musician and skilled carpenter, who had hopes of becoming a teacher to share his love of music, making, building, and learning with young people.

Dave Perreault was a talented musician, playing the piano, saxophone, clarinet, flutes, whistles & the fife, electronic instruments, the banjo, and more. He sang jazz, ska, funk & more, and wrote his own original compositions and songs. Dave showcased his talents across Kingston, being a member of the Fort Henry Guard and as a member of multiple local bands including: Tea for the Voyage, The Sounds of Jazz Big Band, Skandal, The Nate Crockett Band and many more.

In tandem with Perreault Fest, this year we will be unveiling the Dave Perreault Memorial Scholarships, a new scholarship fund for music & shop/tech students in Kingston. This scholarship will be given out to one music student and one shop/tech student at Regiopolis Notre Dame High School, one of the schools that Dave worked at in Kingston. The awards will be presented to students who deserve special recognition for their excellence, effort, or creativity in their classwork.
