What's good in Kingston - It's a great time to discover the Great Lakes Museum

See what's happening this march break!

The Great Lakes Museum at Kingston's waterfront has a very straightforward mission: to establish an enduring connection between visitors and Canada's maritime history and particularly the history of the Great Lakes.

Their visitor experience manager, Claire Notman explains who and what they are.

The museum is celebrating its 50th birthday this year and Notman looks back at how they came to be.

With March break coming up, she says it's a great time for children and parents to discover what they have to offer.

The March break week from the 10th to the 14th has a Great Lake freighter's worth of activities for all ages.

As a donation-funded organization the Museum is always looking for support. Notman says that can be as simple as visiting and encouraging others to do the same.
