Smoke and CO detectors expire
Fire official in Kingston and beyond are reminding residents that their smoke and CO detectors have an expiry date.
Trevor Choffe with the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs says too many people don't realize that.
Each detector has an expiry date printed on them. You're encouraged to take a look at yours and make sure they're still good.
Choffe reminds renters that if their alarms are expired or not working they have a job to do.
