Kingston clinic boosted by $100,000 grant

Cash infusion will help to roster 1,700 patients

CDK Family Medicine has received a $100,000 grant from the City of Kingston to enhance its services and expand its patient roster by 1,700 people.

The funding will cover administrative costs, boost IT capacity, and allow the clinic to hire more allied health professionals to meet growing patient demands.

Kingston city councillors Jimmy Hassan and Brandon Tozzo presented the cheque, acknowledging the crucial role of family doctors in the healthcare system. CDK Family Medicine operates two clinics: one on Princess Street, providing walk-in services since 2010, and another on Sutherland Drive, offering comprehensive care since 2015.

The grant is part of the City’s effort to improve primary care access through technology, expanded support, and more healthcare staff. For updates on physician recruitment and the grant, visit CityofKingston.ca/PhysicianRecruitment.
