Suspect used fake $100 bills at major stores

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a fraud suspect who has been using counterfeit $100 bills to buy pre-paid gift cards at major retail stores across the city.

The suspect is described as a middle-aged woman with long dark curly hair. She has been targeting large corporate stores, including Canadian Tire, Walmart, Giant Tiger, and Shoppers Drug Mart.

Police believe she may be driving a newer model red Hyundai 4-door sedan with dark tinted windows.
