Kingston Police seek public's help

Need to ID Jeep possibly involved in fatal collision

Kingston Police detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a blue Jeep and its occupants possibly involved in a fatal motorcycle collision on July 31, 2024.

The crash occurred around 11:00 p.m. on Bath Road, between Gardiners Road and Tanner Drive. A motorcycle carrying two people fell, slid into the westbound lane, and collided with a Ford Escape, leading to the tragic deaths of the motorcycle’s rider and passenger.

While the Ford Escape driver cooperated with police, investigators believe the blue Jeep, seen in the area moments before the crash, may have played a role in the incident.

Kingston Police have released video footage of the Jeep and are urging anyone with information to contact Detective John Cerutti. Residents and businesses with exterior cameras are also asked to check their footage.

Anyone with information on the Jeep or its occupants is asked to contact Detective John Cerutti via email at jcerutti@kingstonpolice.ca or by calling 613-549-4660 ext. 6404. Please refer to occurrence #24-26226.
