Kingston to host groundbreaking human trafficking conference

Survivor set to speak

Kingston Police are set to host "Beyond Boundaries – A Groundbreaking Human Trafficking Conference," on September 11th and 12th, 2024.

Taking place at the Market Square Hotel in downtown Kingston, the conference will gather 250 attendees to tackle the pressing issue of human trafficking.

Human trafficking, a rapidly growing global crime, exploits the most vulnerable, including youth, and threatens global security. The conference aims to enhance understanding and collaboration between police and community agencies.

Keynote speaker Timea E. Nagy, a best-selling author, UN Advisor, Human Rights Activist, and trafficking survivor, will lead discussions. The event will cover crucial topics such as Digital Sex Trafficking, cyber and financial intelligence, and investigative techniques.

The conference promises valuable insights into new trends and effective strategies to combat human trafficking.
