Calling all artists!
The City of Kingston is seeking artists to create a permanent public artwork for the Robert Bruce Memorial Parking Garage downtown.
The artwork will be installed across 10 large concrete panels on the second level of the garage on Bagot Street, making it highly visible from the street. Once completed, it will become part of the City’s Civic Collection.
“This parking garage is in a busy location with lots of people passing by every day,” said Danika Lochhead, Director of Arts and Culture Services. “This is a great chance to add vibrancy and celebrate the area’s character.”
Artists from Kingston and surrounding areas can submit an Expression of Interest by March 28 at 5 p.m. A Selection Panel will shortlist three artists for public feedback before the final decision.
A virtual information session is set for March 14 at 2 p.m. Details at CityofKingston.ca/ArtistOpportunities
