Pavement work continues on Hwy 401 in Kingston

Mind the signs

The Ministry of Transportation is continuing pavement rehabilitation on Hwy 401 between Westbrook Road and beyond the Hwy 15 Overpass, including the Sir John A. Macdonald Overpass. This is part of the millions of dollars in provincial funding announced last week.

This project will result in various lane and ramp closures over the coming months.

For drivers on Hwy 401 Westbound at Hwy 15, there will be a full mainline closure from September 22 to September 26, each night from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Eastbound traffic will also face a full closure on September 23 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

In addition, several ramps at Gardiners Road, Sydenham Road, Sir John A. Macdonald Boulevard, Division Street, and Montreal Street will be closed on September 23, 24, 25, and 26, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Drivers should plan their routes accordingly and allow extra time for travel.
