Roy Douglas Snyder found not guilty of 2022 murder

Had been accused of fatal stabbing

Roy Douglas Snyder has been acquitted of the murder of David "Jaeger" Hodgson, which happened back in January 2022 outside the Integrated Care Hub (ICH).

On the afternoon of July 31, 2024, the jury began deliberations after receiving final instructions from Justice Graeme Mew.

The verdict was delivered just before 10 p.m., with Snyder, his lawyer Mary Cremer, and court staff waiting anxiously.

The jury's verdict of "not guilty" was announced at 10:11 p.m., concluding the trial.

Snyder is now a free man.

Hodgson's daughter, visibly upset, left the courtroom shortly after the verdict. Justice Mew expressed gratitude to the jury for their service, despite the late hour and the courtroom's warm conditions.
