Revenge never tasted so sweet for animals in need
Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre in Greater Napanee is offering a fun and unique way for people to get revenge on their ex while helping animals. The wildlife rehabilitation centre has launched a Valentine’s Day fundraiser where donors can name a food item after their former partner and watch it get eaten.
For a $10 donation, participants can name a worm and choose to have it fed to a turkey, bat, or turtle. A $15 donation allows donors to name a carrot or apple and have it fed to a horse or pig. After making a donation, supporters receive a video of the animal eating their “ex.”
The fundraiser is gaining traction on social media, with proceeds going toward the daily operations of the non-profit centre.
Sandy Pines has been rescuing and rehabilitating wildlife for over 25 years. Donations can be made at www.sandypineswildlife.org.
