Long awaited debut for electric ferry
Residents and visitors to Wolfe Island will have a smoother experience starting tomorrow, August 17th, when the Wolfe Islander IV ferry begins full service at the Marysville dock. This move allows passengers to walk directly to the ferry, reducing vehicle traffic during boarding and disembarking.
The ferry’s return to Marysville is expected to boost local businesses and foster a more vibrant community by connecting the town’s core directly to the ferry service. While the Dawson Point dock will remain operational as a backup, the Marysville dock will now be the primary docking point.
Officials have expressed gratitude to passengers and islanders for their patience during the transition. For more details on the Wolfe Island ferry service and schedules, visit Ontario’s ferry services webpage.
This change marks a significant step towards enhancing accessibility and supporting the local economy.
