What's Good in Kingston: Kinsmen Club of Kingston hosts national convention

Over 200 members came to the Limestone City for the convention.

In August, the Kinsmen Club of Kingston hosted their service organization's National Convention for the first time in the club's history. President Trisha Pedros reminds us of how this group started its mission of serving the community's greatest needs.

While many might think conventions are filled with business meetings and awards, Trisha said over the 4 days of the event, over 200 members from across the country were busy fulfilling their organization's mission working while having a great giving time in Kingston.

Of course the next edition of the Kinsmen Dream Home lottery is well underway with formal announcements coming later this fall and the draw taking place in February. This year the Club was able to donate over $700K to area groups and charities due to this successful fundraiser. Just one example was their mission to help others with spiraling food costs.

The Club is always looking for new members. If you're interested, email info@kinsmendreamhome.com or connect with them through Facebook.
