STUFF TO DO
Today: Art After Dark takes over downtown Kingston tonight from 7 to 10 p.m. The free event lets you explore local galleries and shops, with live painting, music, hands-on activities and plenty of local artwork to browse. There’s also a chance to win $500 toward an original piece.
Tomorrow: Riverhead Brewing is celebrating Oktoberfest tomorrow with German-inspired food, beer, live music and games. Brass Over Tea Kettle plays from 2:30 to 5, followed by The Rusted Chains from 6 to 9. The free event runs from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., with the brewery also launching its Oktoberfest Lager.
Tomorrow: Pumpkin Smashing and the Corn Maze return to Forman Farms tomorrow. Families can take on the corn maze, go for wagon rides, decorate pumpkins and try the obstacle course. There are also pumpkin cannons and a trebuchet firing every hour. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. through October 4.
Tomorrow: Wheels on the Runway returns to YGK Airport tomorrow in support of United Way KFL&A. You can check out aircraft, tractors, fire trucks and other vehicles, plus ride the CN Little Obie train. The SkyHawks are also scheduled to make an appearance at 11 a.m., weather permitting. Admission is by donation, with the event running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
LOCAL SPORTS
The Kingston Frontenacs next game day is today against Sarnia.
Meanwhile, the Queens Gaels next game is tomorrow home to Ottawa.
