What's Good in Kingston: First-ever female entrepreneur expo at SLC

Women can learn about starting and running a business on October 25.

A number of female entrepreneurs will be gathered for the Women Entrepreneurs Expo in Kingston.

It is taking place Sat. Oct. 25 at St. Lawrence College.

It is being organized by the non-profit All Women Entrepreneur Circuit (AWEC) Canada in conjunction with the Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce.

AWEC founder and operations director Lev Calang says this will be the first-time that female entrepreneurs from the Kingston area all will gather under one roof.

Theme for the inaugural expo is “The Rise of Female Founders: Turning Vision Into Venture.”

Calang says people who come to the expo will be able to get advice and tips from women who have an extensive background in the business world.

Calang says the expo will also feature a number of workshops and panel discussions.
