Bereaved Families of Ontario are marking the occasion with invaluable resources.
The Bereaved Families of Ontario Kingston Region is marking National Grief and Bereavement Day with a special event on November 18th at the Auditorium at Providence Village in Kingston.
Their Executive Director Lisa Cassidy has the details.
In addition to their keynote speaker, BFO has a full evening planned with help in group discussions from their own volunteers and other professionals to help support those experiencing loss.
Lisa tells us what topics are being covered.
BFO Kingston Region runs a continuing series of support group sessions dealing with very specific types of loss, such as loss of a child, suicide loss, spouse loss among others.
Lisa notes the importance of healing in today's society.
The National Grief and Bereavement Day event starts at 6:30 pm and the doors open at 6. Check out bfo-kingston.ca to RSVP and to learn more about the support that's available.
