Food, entertainment and more coming to downtown Kingston next Saturday.
On Saturday August 16th, Johnson Street in downtown Kingston will be transformed into a Greek village lane full of enticing aromas, delicious food, vendors, entertainment, and more as Greek Fest returns for its seventh year.
Organizing committee member Marina Leos tells us what it's all about.
It takes an army of people to organize such a popular event and Marina tells us it's due to the strengths of great volunteers.
Admission is by a non-perishable food item or cash donation in support of the Partners in Mission Food Bank. Last year the Fest raised over 1,000 lbs of food and $4,000 in donations.
This is a family-friendly event and Marina tells us what tempts visitors every year.
The event runs from 11 am to 11 pm and Johnson Street will be closed from Bagot to Wellington with tent coverage for rain or shine.
