The City is aiming to become a bird-friendly place.
The City of Kingston wants residents to vote for the official bird of the Limestone City.
This is part of the City's application to have Kingston be a certified bird-friendly city.
Director of Public Works and Solid Waste Karen Santucci says the motivation is to see what the city can do to help the bird population.
There are 16 different bird species that are on the list for consideration.
Santucci says they are birds that are often found in Kingston.
Voting began last Thursday and will run until Oct. 3. The city will name the official bird on Oct. 11 which is World Migratory Bird Day.
Santucci says hopes this will encourage people to see the importance of birds in the city.
You can vote for your favourite bird by going to the Get Involved Kingston website.
