What's good in Kingston? Providing lifelines to youth at risk through a special event

St Lawrence Youth Association

For 50 years the St. Lawrence Youth Association has been offering its services to youth, aged 12 to 17 who are in conflict with the law. They employ evidence-based trauma-informed interventions that support and rehabilitate young individuals across six counties in Eastern Ontario. Their Executive Director Christine Brook explains their mission.

As funding for the great work that the Association does is always needed, they've come up with a very fun way for the public to support the youth they serve as Christine reports.

Base funding from the Ontario Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services doesn't come close to providing the supports many youth at risk so desperately need. The proceeds from the golf tournament will go along way to help  out as Christine explains

You can learn more about the tourney and the great work the Association does at slya.ca.
