Frontenacs still in strong playoff spot as big weekend events draw fans.

The Kingston Frontenacs remain in a solid playoff position despite a tough stretch last weekend.

The team dropped three close games but continues to hold seventh place in the Eastern Conference standings, with a 13-point cushion over the ninth-place Mississauga Steelheads.

Director of ticketing and marketing strategies Colton Robb said the team remains focused on improving its position.

Fans will also have plenty to look forward to off the ice this weekend. 

The Kinsmen Dream Home Draw will take place during Friday’s game against the North Bay Battalion, giving attendees a chance to win big while enjoying special promotions.

Saturday’s game against the Niagara Ice Dogs is the annual Fronts Fight Cancer game will honour those affected by cancer and raise awareness.

The team wraps the weekend in Oshawa on Saturday.   

Meanwhile, goaltender Gavin Betts continues to shine. He made 34 saves against Barrie and 37 saves against Hamilton, helping keep Kingston competitive and reinforcing the team’s strong goaltending heading into the final 14 games of the season.
