She’s bringing the Grey Cup to Kingston—and it could save lives

Kelly Hallett, named the CFL Fan of the Year, is using her big win to give back in a meaningful way. On April 25, she’s bringing the Grey Cup to Kingston for a fundraiser supporting the Living Kidney Donation program at Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KHSC).

The event, called Touchdown for Life, runs from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Merchant Tap House. Visitors can see the Grey Cup up close and make donations through the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation.

Kelly’s husband Keith received a life-saving kidney transplant in 2024, thanks to her participation in the Paired Kidney Donation Program. The Mallorytown resident is now raising awareness about living donation and organ donor registration.

She will also visit KHSC with the Grey Cup to thank hospital staff. Event sponsors include James Braden Auto Group, Keith Francis Holdings, Chiasson Ford, and 401 Auto Dealers Exchange. Full event details are at uhkf.ca.
