Up to 300 students will receive $1,000 each based on financial need.
St. Lawrence College is introducing new entrance bursaries for domestic students starting in fall 2025. Up to 300 students at the Kingston, Brockville, and Cornwall campuses will receive $1,000 each based on financial need.
These bursaries are available to high school graduates and mature applicants without requiring an OSAP application. Successful applicants will be notified by April, with funds applied to student accounts after the tenth day of the semester.
In addition, SLC is offering free assessments for Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) and Transfer Credits, allowing students to receive credit for work experience and prior education. This initiative could save students over $100 per course.
The bursaries are funded through a needs-based reserve, and additional donor-funded awards ranging from $500 to $3,000 are available in the fall and winter terms.
Prospective students can learn more at SLC’s Spring Open House on April 5 in Brockville and Cornwall, and April 12 in Kingston.
