New date is Sun Mar 1 from 6 am to 10 am.
Eastern Ontario Power (EOP) is advising residents and businesses in Gananoque that a previously scheduled Hydro One outage on February 22 has been moved to Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
The outage is mandatory to allow Hydro One to perform system upgrades and will take the town’s main electrical feed offline, resulting in a temporary town-wide power interruption.
EOP notes the rescheduling is intended to minimize disruption while still allowing critical infrastructure work to proceed. Residents are encouraged to plan ahead, ensuring essential devices are charged and necessary precautions are taken during the four-hour outage.
For further details, including an outage map, customers can visit www.easternontariopower.com or follow @EOPpower on Facebook and X. Questions can also be directed to EOP at (613) 382-2118.
