They say the new satellite office provides an alternate location for members to access programs and services.
The Kingston Economic Development Corporation hopes to do more after setting up shop at the Fractal Workspace.
They announced on Tuesday that they have opened a satellite office at 945 Princess St.
In a news release, this will allow them to join other ecosystem partners in a vibrant hub where startups and entrepreneurs converge, providing an alternative location to access the Corporation's business support services and programs.
It goes on to say that by establishing a presence in one of Kingston's key innovation spaces, the Corporation can better serve the growing number of startups and scaling ventures that are central to the city's economic development.
Norman Musengimana, Business Development Manager, Startups & Entrepreneurship at KEDC said in a statement that they are not just offering services.
He said by positioning themselves at Fractal Workspace, they're going to be part of the daily interactions that generate new ideas, connections and innovation, and not just be offering services.
The satellite office will operate on a regular schedule offering services such as business consultations, program information sessions, application support for funding programs, and business planning assistance.
