Next week is National Volunteer week.
The City of Kingston is marking the occasion by acknowledging those who give their time to helping the community.
In a news release, all City volunteers make a real difference, positively impacting their lives and the lives of others, staying active, connecting with people, and developing their skills and knowledge.
They say their volunteers often give tours of city hall, deliver swim lessons, help out at the community rink or Rideaucrest Home.
People interested in volunteering for City of Kingston can do so by applying on their website. (https://www.cityofkingston.ca/careers-and-volunteering/volunteering/)
National Volunteer Week runs from April 27 to May 3.
