Police execute two early morning search warrants as investigation into serious hit-and-run continues.

Kingston Police say two women have been arrested following early morning search warrants on November 20 linked to a hit-and-run that left a 19-year-old pedestrian critically injured.

The investigation began around 9 p.m. on Nov. 7, when a pedestrian was struck on Johnson Street near Albert Street. The victim suffered major internal injuries and remains in hospital after multiple surgeries.

Police recovered a white Toyota Tundra with front-end damage in Bedford Mills on Nov. 10 that they believe was the suspect vehicle.

Police later arrested a 25-year-old woman at a Brock Street home, charging her with failing to remain at the scene causing bodily harm, obstructing police and breaching probation.

A 52-year-old woman was also arrested at a South Frontenac residence and charged with public mischief. She was released on a promise to appear in court.
