Tower to be replaced today and tomorrow
Lighthouse Park in Loyalist Township will see some action in the coming days as the Canadian Coast Guard undertakes a tower replacement project.
From August 27th to August 28th, 2024, workers will replace the lighthouse tower along the park’s water’s edge.
During this period, visitors might notice machinery along the eastern shore of Lake Ontario.
While the work is ongoing, disruption will be minimal, though the machinery might be visible and audible.
Park-goers are advised to stay aware of their surroundings.
This important update aims to maintain the safety and functionality of the iconic lighthouse.
