Resource is free and easy to use
A new online tool called Find Services is making it easier for people in Frontenac, Lennox and Addington to find the health and wellness support they need.
Launched by the Frontenac, Lennox and Addington Ontario Health Team (FLA OHT), the tool is free, easy to use, and available 24/7. It helps residents find local and provincial services close to home by entering their address or searching by category.
The goal is to take the stress out of finding care. The tool was built with help from the FLA OHT Community Council to make sure it meets local needs. It’s available in English and French and can be found at www.flaoht.ca.
Categories include mental health and addictions, chronic disease, food, dental clinics, help at home, seniors’ programs, recreation, crisis services, and more.
Dr. Kim Morrison, Executive Director of FLA OHT, says the tool is part of the team’s mission to make health care easier to access for everyone in the region.
People who do not have a primary care provider can also visit the FLA OHT website to find services while they wait to be matched through Health Care Connect.
To register for a family doctor or nurse practitioner, residents can call 1-800-445-1822 or visit the site for more information.
FLA OHT hopes Find Services will improve health outcomes and connect people to the care they need, when they need it.
