A lot of smile cookies were sold at Tim Horton's stores in Kingston.
The recent holiday smile cookie campaign raised $138,218.42 from the sale of the cookies. That translates to over 69,000 of the white chocolate sugar cookie sold in Kingston stores between Nov. 17 and 23.
Store owner Sherri Agnew says she is not surprised with final numbers.
More than $13 million was raised from this year's holiday smile cookie campaign. Half of the proceed go to Tim Horton's Foundation Camps, the other half goes to the local charity of the owner's choosing.
Agnew says their share of the proceeds are going to the United Way KFL&A.
The smile cookie campaign first began in 1996 to help the Hamilton Children's Hospital. It now raises funds for over 600 local charities and organizations across Canada.
The holiday cookie campaign has been going on since 2023.
Agnew says the smile cookies are always a popular item on their menu.
