A Go-Fund-Me page has been set up to help cover expenses.
A scary moment for a Bath couple and their puppy.
Samantha Burrows and her partner Tommy took their four-month-old black lab, Kuma, to Kingston's Ribfest and Craft Beer Show.
They were enjoying the festivities when Kuma suddenly ate a whole rib bone.
Burrows explains what had happened.
It also ended up costing the couple over $4,500 for the procedure.
Burrows says it was a terrifying and stressful experience for both her and her partner who ended up spending the rest of the weekend at the vet clinic in Ottawa.
Luckily for Kuma, he was able to return home with his owners later that day and is on his way to recovery.
Burrows says doctors did not detect any serious damage.
A Go-Fund-Me account has been set up to help the couple cover the medical expenses that was incurred.
Burrows is thankful of the support from their family and friends.
