Another bail hearing, another release
Kingston Police report that on September 2nd, a 47-year-old local was caught on security camera breaking into a downtown Kingston apartment complex near Princess Street and Clergy Street.
The suspect, who was already on bail for a previous prowl by night charge, used an object to bypass the front door’s lock and spent several hours inside the building before leaving.
The property manager alerted Kingston Police and provided CCTV footage, which helped identify the suspect.
On September 5, 2024, the individual was arrested and charged with break and enter with intent, mischief under $5000, and prowl by night.
After being held at Kingston Police headquarters, the suspect attended a bail hearing on September 6, 2024, and was released on bail.
