Six Kingston residents being honoured at Civic Awards

The awards honour volunteers who go above and beyond to make a difference in their communities.

The City of Kingston is shining a spotlight on six remarkable residents through its 2025 Civic Awards.

Each year, the awards honour volunteers who go above and beyond to make a difference in their communities — whether through culture, education, the environment, or youth leadership.

This year’s recipients include Kate Thomas, who received the First Capital Distinguished Citizen Award.

Judi Cova and Peter Kingston were each given the First Capital Honourable Achievement Award.

The Mayor’s Award for Youth Volunteerism went to Zoé Leduc, Abigail Champagne and Natalie Kearn.

The group will be recognized at Tuesday's City Council meeting.
