South Frontenac woman charged with impaired driving following single-vehicle collision

Police responded to a report of a vehicle that had left the roadway but remained upright.

A South Frontenac woman is facing impaired driving charges following a single-vehicle collision on Keeley Road.

On Thursday, May 29, shortly before 4:30 p.m., officers from the Frontenac Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a vehicle that had left the roadway but remained upright.

Frontenac Paramedics attended the scene, but the driver declined medical treatment.

Police used an approved roadside screening device and arrested the driver for impaired operation. Amy Hendrick, 24, of South Frontenac Township, is charged with operation while impaired by alcohol and operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over 80.

She was released and is scheduled to appear in Kingston court on June 24. Her licence is suspended and vehicle impounded.
