Money raised goes to a fantastic cause
The George E. Smith Memorial Fire Truck Pull returns on Saturday, October 19, promising strength, fun, and community spirit.
Hosted by the YMCA of Eastern Ontario and Burnbrae Farms, this beloved event raises funds for the YMCA’s financial assistance program, helping individuals access health and wellness services, regardless of financial barriers.
Teams will compete for bragging rights as they pull a fire truck and rally to meet this year’s fundraising goal of $110,000.
Proceeds will directly support local families and individuals, fostering healthier and more inclusive communities.
The event honours George E. Smith, a lifelong YMCA volunteer who led many fundraising campaigns and received the Dr. Stanley “Y” Values Award in 2008.
The YMCA encourages everyone to participate or donate.
Sponsorships and donations are fully tax-deductible, with receipts issued for all contributions.
