AMO is hosting an online learning series.
The Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) is offering a free online learning series for individuals interested in running for municipal office in 2026 or for current elected officials considering re-election.
The program is divided into two learning streams. Stream 1 is designed for first-time candidates and community members exploring whether municipal office is the right path. It provides guidance to build confidence and prepare for a potential campaign. Stream 2 targets sitting municipal officials seeking re-election, helping them plan their strategy and approach for the upcoming election.
The series provides valuable insights into municipal governance, campaign planning, and leadership skills, supporting civic engagement and informed participation in local government.
Interested participants can register online for Stream 1 for first-time candidates and Stream 2 for elected officials. More information and registration links are available on the AMO website.
