Fentanyl, cocaine, and MDMA seized
Kingston Police have arrested three individuals and seized drugs worth nearly $10,000 after executing a drug warrant on Thursday, March 20, 2025.
The operation was carried out by the Kingston Police Street Crime Unit, in collaboration with the Emergency Response Unit, at a residence near Weller Avenue and Compton Street.
Police seized 83.2 grams of cocaine, 12.8 grams of crack cocaine, 25 grams of fentanyl, MDMA tablets, and Xanax pills. The estimated street value of the drugs is $9,790.
The three suspects, all with extensive criminal records, face multiple trafficking charges and possession of proceeds of crime. One of the suspects, a 19-year-old, was already on judicial release for 64 violent offences, including armed robbery and firearms charges.
“Our catch and release system in Canada is harming communities. It is astonishing that an individual facing 64 charges, many of which involve violence, are permitted to continue to victimize members of our community. Chiefs across Canada have sounded the alarm bell regarding this failure in the judicial system. Sadly, nobody seems to be listening.” Said Chief of Police Scott Fraser
