Every $2 cookie sold from November 17th to 23rd will help fund local programs through United Way KFL&A.
The Tim Hortons Holiday Smile Cookie campaign is returning November 17 to 23, offering a sweet way for the community to give back. One hundred per cent of proceeds from every $2 cookie will be donated to local charities and community groups across Canada, including Tim Hortons Foundation Camps.
Leanne O’Mara United Way Campaign Chair, hopes for this to be a record breaking year.
President with the United Way, John DiPaolo says that this has been great for the community.
In Kingston, funds raised through the campaign will once again support United Way Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington. Money raised will help fund programs and local agencies that support people and families facing poverty, food insecurity, mental illness, addictions, and homelessness.
O'Mara says that they are excited to support United Way.
The Holiday Smile Cookie is a white chocolate sugar cookie baked with red and green sprinkles and decorated with a smiling face. Cookies will be available at Tim Hortons locations across Kingston throughout the campaign week.
Last year, Tim Hortons guests helped raise $10.7 million nationwide through the Holiday Smile Cookie initiative. This year, proceeds in Kingston will help United Way KFL&A reach its $4,085,000 fundraising goal as it nears the end of its annual campaign.
DiPaolo thanks Tim Hortons.
The campaign encourages kindness and community spirit during the holiday season. More information is available on the United Way website.
