The first weekend of the new year saw a watermain break in the south west end of Kingston.
Crews have been working all weekend to fix a watermain break at the intersection of Front Road and Days Rd.
The rupture of the line occurred Saturday. Social media posts show water gushing out of the ground.
The intersection has been closed since the break. Front is closed at Crerar Blvd to the east and Lakeview Ave to the west. Days is closed at Cranbrook St.
The City of Kingston and Kingston Police had said work was expected to be completed Sunday afternoon. But crews were seen working well into the evening.
