United Way KFL&A continues to set bar high in latest fundraising campaign

The organization announced that more than $4.1 million was raised.

It was a successful fundraising campaign for United Way Kingston Frontenac, Lennox and Addington.

At their annual touchdown breakfast on Thursday at the DoubleTree in Kingston, the organization announced that $4,150,633 was raised exceeding their goal of $4,085,000 that was set in September.

2025 campaign chair Leanne O'Mara says they also exceeded their expectations in so many ways.

In addition to the amount raised, there was a donation of $643,500 towards youth homelessness programs from a group of anonymous donors.

Around 60 area organizations contributed to the campaign.

O'Mara says with the increasing number of people needing help, it is amazing that the community continues to lend a hand.

The money raised from the campaign will go assist local agencies who help people in need.

O'Mara says programs that support those facing homelessness, mental health, and addiction will go a long way in strengthening communities.
